This weekend, Newport Beach welcomes The Toshiba Classic. For an entire week, golf legends will grace Newport with their presence. This official PGA Champions Tour hosts professional competitions from Friday- Sunday. This exciting event will feature a variety of events, starting on Monday with the Monday Pro-Am event, where amateurs get paired up with professionals. Tuesday is the start of the Classic Pro-Am. On Friday, the Toshiba Classic begins with Round 1.
The 4th annual Toshiba "Swing for the Green" recycling event will be taking place as well. Visitors can bring their old, outdated electronics from Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 13 to the main admission gate of the Newport Beach Country Club. The Toshiba Classic has raised over $13 million over the past 13 years to help benefit the Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.
