Prepare your home for Showings & Open Houses

Need some decorating tips? Small changes may make a big difference. It is important to prepare for an open house or showing. Here are 5 tips for decorating your home:

1.Displaying universally appealing collections can be an attractive decorating technique. Group like objects together in one area and steer clear of overly ethnic and religious artifacts, which may not appeal to all buyers.

2.Home buyers love lots of closet space and they will look inside, so make the most of your closets. Organize & remove two-thirds of your clothes and store them somewhere else.

3.Limit the amount of furniture, especially in smaller rooms. This will make the rooms appear bigger. When in doubt, remember less is more.

4.Remove or fix anything horribly outdated or worn, such as dirty carpeting, loose tile, etc.

5.Don't overlook curb appeal. First impressions are critical and set an overall tone.
