Full Disclosure

As a buyer, you need to know the condition of the property for protection from any unseen problems. As a seller, not following full disclosure laws can result in loss of the sale and legal action if a problem is uncovered.

Laws can include disclosure of:

- condition of the roof
- electrical system
- death at the property
- water and sewer problems, including wells and septic systems
- heating and air conditioning systems
- presence of hazardous materials, such as lead paint
- structural problems
- presence of mold
- when the seller last occupied the property
- violations against the property of city, county, or state laws

Contact a RE/MAX Fine Homes agent to fully understand what needs to be done to get the deal closed.
