Children’s Miracle Network benefitting Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC). "We think this is a fabulous way to give back to CHOC and the community by making a per transaction donation to children in need,” Lee Ann Canaday, owner of RE/MAX Fine Homes and the Canaday Group said. The evening included a raffle with lots of local businesses offering up terrific prizes from dinners, Clippers tickets, Kreiss Furniture gift cards and more. All funds received from raffle tickets were proudly presented to Children’s Miracle Network and CHOC. A “CHOC family” shared their story with guests in attendance. “We took our daughter in for what we thought was pink eye and learned she had Leukemia. It was devastating but she overcame it and CHOC helped our entire family during this difficult time,” said Christina, mother of little Katie. Katie is cancer free yet continues to be monitored until age 21 to be sure the disease doesn’t reappear.
The grand opening included champagne toasts throughout the evening and delicious food from Jason’s Catering.
