Happy Birthday Christa Lee!

We had such a fun lunch yesterday celebrating Christa Lee's birthday with our Canaday Group agents.  We went to a new restaurant in Downtown Laguna Beach called Carmelitas.  It was a little cloudy yesterday, but so nice being close to the beach and seeing the ocean from our table.  The food was delicious and we hope to go there again.  One of our agent's mother is a phenomenal baker and made the birthday cake (check out the photo).  We will definitely be eating cake at the office for the rest of the week. :)

Happy New Year! 2013!

As we close the books on 2012, I hope you take a moment to reflect on what has happened over the last 12 months.  For me, there have been a lot of joyous moments (AKA life's highs) and I reveled with a big smile and shouts of "Victory!"  Coupled with great times, Life throws you occasional lows to broaden your perspective and teach you some lessons.  I lost too many people this past year.  I miss and think of them daily because they made the world a better place.  I also miss the happiness and love they brought to my life.  The year truly flew by!  The greatest thing I learned in 2012 is that you have to live in the present and hope for the future.  You have power in the moment to make the right choice because after it passes, you can only look back and make adjustments.

Laguna Beach in the morning...

I was driving through Laguna Beach this morning and couldn't help but stop to walk along the coastline.  It was such a calm morning feeling the sand beneath my feet, sun shining, and subtle glisten on the water...so much potential for this day.  I wish all of you that comfort that I felt this morning.  I also think I was compelled to take a moment before starting my day because I was informed that a long time friend's mother has only a few days left to live. She has been battling cancer for the last year and the doctors said this is it.  Please take a moment today for yourself, your family, or friends.  Even if it is a deep breath and recollection of a happy time in your life, because you deserve to find peace in each day.

Laguna Beach Festival of Arts & Pageant of the Masters

Laguna Beach, CA is famous for the art scene and annual summer show, Pageant of the Masters.  2012 marks the 80th year of the 90 minute so-called living pictures, featuring real people inside classic works of art...a must see!  This year's theme is "The Genius" and we already know it will be memorable.  The incredible show runs from July 7th - August 31st, starting at 8:30pm in an outdoor amphitheater.   Arrive early to see The Festival of Arts, a beautiful outdoor art gallery featuring local artists, open from 10am-11:30pm.   Festival of Arts tickets are also available without the POM ticket, priced between $4-10.

First Thursdays Art Walk

Tonight is First Thursdays Art Walk in Laguna Beach, CA.  This is free to the public and is from 6pm-9pm. Art Walk Tonight in Laguna Beach, CA

Tonight from 6-9pm is First Thursday Art Walk in Laguna Beach.  Tour the art galleries in North, Central and South Laguna.  There is a free tram provided by the City to transport you between galleries.  Special Events include a 5pm reception and awards ceremony at City Hall for "Art That's Small at City Hall."  All are invited.  City Hall is located at 505 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach.  At 6:45pm and 7:45pm dancers from Laguna Dance Festival will perform.  See the website below for details.

Katie is cancer free yet continues to be monitored until age 21 to be sure the disease doesn’t reappear.

The grand opening included champagne toasts throughout the evening and delicious food from Jason’s Catering.
